About Support Solutions
We believe everyone deserves to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own home. Support Solutions exists to make that possible, with compassionate, professional care delivered by people who truly care.
Our Story
Support Solutions was founded with a clear and simple purpose: to provide high-quality, personalised home care that enables people to live the lives they choose, in the place they feel most comfortable. Their own home.
What started as a single office in Yorkshire has grown into a network of local care teams serving communities across the region. Today, Support Solutions operates from multiple locations including York, Harrogate, Beverley, and Middlesbrough, with plans to expand further across the UK.
As part of a franchise network with local ownership, every Support Solutions office combines the strength and standards of a national brand with the personal touch and accountability of a locally run business.
Our growth has been deliberate and quality-driven. We would rather serve fewer clients exceptionally well than overstretch and compromise on the standard of care we deliver.

Our Values
Everything we do is guided by five core values that shape how we recruit, train, and deliver care every single day.
Compassion
We treat every client as we would our own family. Empathy guides every interaction, every care plan, and every decision we make.
Trust
We earn trust through reliability, transparency, and consistent quality. Families place their confidence in us, and we honour that responsibility every single day.
Independence
We empower clients to live life on their own terms. Our care is designed to support, not to take over — preserving dignity, choice, and personal freedom.
Excellence
We invest in training, technology, and continuous improvement. From specialist dementia qualifications to ongoing professional development, our people are equipped to deliver outstanding care.
Community
We are part of the communities we serve, not separate from them. Our care professionals live locally, understand the area, and are genuinely invested in the wellbeing of their neighbours.
Our People
The quality of care we deliver depends entirely on the quality of the people who deliver it. That is why recruitment is one of the most important things we do at Support Solutions. Every care professional we hire goes through a rigorous selection process that includes competency-based interviews, enhanced DBS checks, reference verification, and a values assessment to ensure they share our commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
Once on board, our care professionals receive comprehensive induction training covering everything from manual handling and infection control to safeguarding, medication management, and communication skills. Beyond the fundamentals, we invest in specialist training programmes tailored to the services we provide — including accredited dementia care qualifications, complex care competencies, palliative care awareness, and mental health first aid.
Training does not stop after induction. Every member of our team participates in ongoing professional development throughout the year, with regular refresher courses, supervision sessions, and opportunities to pursue additional qualifications. We believe in growing our people, recognising their achievements, and creating career pathways that reward commitment and excellence.
CQC Regulated Care
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Every home care provider in England must be registered with the CQC and is subject to regular inspections that assess the quality and safety of the care being delivered. These inspections evaluate providers against five key questions: Is the service safe? Is it effective? Is it caring? Is it responsive to people's needs? And is it well-led?
Support Solutions is proud to be CQC registered and regulated across all of our locations. We do not view CQC compliance as a box-ticking exercise. It is a fundamental part of how we operate. Our internal quality assurance processes go beyond the minimum regulatory requirements, with regular audits, client feedback surveys, care plan reviews, and staff supervision sessions designed to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure we are consistently delivering the highest standard of care.
We encourage families to check the CQC ratings of any care provider they are considering. You can find Support Solutions on the CQC website to view our inspection reports and ratings. Transparency and accountability are central to everything we do.
